Blu-ray companies launch new website
This new site is edited by former Video Business magazine editor in chief, Scott Hettrick, and contains a mix of original content and links to external websites that discuss Blu-ray related topics.
The website is pretty clever from a marketing standpoint. It gives the impression that all of Hollywood is Blu-ray, without disclosing the fact that it is a promotional tool backed by only 3 major Hollywood studios, all who are Blu-ray exclusive supporters. Personally, I did not find anything that interesting on the site, but if you are interested in reading about Scott Hettrick’s pro Blu-ray spin on all things high definition, then you might want to check out the site on a regular basis.
One thing that I found interesting is that an Amazon ad on the front page has displayed an HD DVD title and an HD DVD player at different times. The 3 other items on this ad are always Blu-ray. I wonder if this minor HD DVD product presence is an attempt to fool visitors into thinking that the site is an unbiased, neutral high definition reporting website. That just isn’t the case… Found via HighDefDigest. Related Articles on WesleyTech.com:
