As to the inconvenience with HDMI cable,Grandbeing may lanch new HDMI product to enable the users handle the HDMI extension cable more easily. Please keep an eye on http://www.grandbeing.biz.

Grandbeing also has HDMI extender and HDMI extension cable via CAT5E. CAT5E cable is thinner than the HDMI cable, more inexpensive and easy to handle.

Every coin has two sides. HDMI is the future trends and give people great enjoyment on audio and video entertainment.

ATI and other companies make HD tuner cards for your computer so you can record directly from the source. Video capture is out of date, I'm afraid.

If you have an HDTV tuner that outputs over component, you may want to use that for recording HD TV broadcasts (instead of HDMI, which might prevent it). I'm not really current on all of the broadcast flag news though, so I could be wrong here...

HDMI doesn't officially have DRM. HDCP is said to ensure the best signal possible, though critics say it is to prevent copy.

There's really no reason to record over component or HDMI when you can get a program like AnyDVD and just rip directly from the source.

This article fails to mention that HDMI built in support for DRM (digital rights management). Component has no such ristriction, which is perfect for media buffs who like to record their video.
