Marantz to show Blu-ray player at CES

Marantz to show Blu-ray player at CES

My first prediction has come to pass with a press release from Marantz. The BD8002 meets BD1.1 specification and features the 10-bit Silicon Optix Realta chipset which is considered one of the best video decoders on the market today. It will decode TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio or send the bitstream signal over HDMI 1.3.

This isn’t huge news, however, as Marantz has previously had this player on display at CEDIA last year. It’s pricey, but Marantz usually is.
